REAL NEW YORK-STYLE BAGELS
Bringing real bagels to Madrid.
Our philosophy is pretty simple: real, NY-style bagels which means hand-rolled, long & cold fermentation, boiled and baked fresh every day. They're soft and chewy on the inside with a crisp exterior and it doesn't get much better than that.
THE CAKES AND COOKIES
We make a variety of homemade cakes and cookies that we have available in the shop daily, but we also make all of our products for events and catering. Call us, write to us, send us a letter in the mail....just get in contact and we can make all of your cake dreams come true.
HOW WE GOT STARTED
Mazál began as Bruja's Bakery- a made-to-order bagel, pumpkin pie, and challah bakery in Madrid. Bruja's Bakery got started in a toaster oven and as a hobby and quickly grew to become a full-time business, satisfying hundreds of bagel-loving customers in Madrid. We were told over and over again that we had the best bagels in Madrid, but we knew that being a made-to-order bakery wasn't sustainable for the long term. With the support and encouragement from our customers, we decided to take the next step- the creation of MAZÁL.
Mazál offers the exact same products you love from Bruja's Bakery, but with even more to love. We have bagel sandwiches, fresh-brewed coffee, homemade breads, and a wide-variety of pastries.
Tamara is half of the brains behind the project. She is American (from Philadelphia) and works on the creative side of Mazál. Luis is Spanish (from Madrid) and does most of the heavy lifting and technical work. Besides us, we have an amazing team who puts a huge number of hours into making Mazal what it is! We couldn't do it without them!
OUR LITTLE FACTORY
It's what's on the inside that counts
We bake hundreds of bagels per day in Mazál, but that's not all! We have challah and other breads, pastries, cakes, and fresh coffee.
Come visit to see our wide variety of products, but if you're looking for something in particular, feel free to give us a call and make a reservation.
